girodisc-ts-0738-4-porsche-rear-titanium-pad-shields
GiroDisc TS-0738-4 Porsche 911 / Cayman / Boxster Rear Titanium Pad Heat Shields

GiroDisc TS-0738-4 titanium pad heat shields fit the rear brakes of the specified Porsche 996/997.1 Carrera/C4, 986 Boxster S, 987 Cayman and selected 981/982 Cayman and Boxster applications. They sit behind the matching brake pad backing plates, between the pads and caliper pistons.

The titanium layer reduces heat transfer from the pads into the caliper during repeated braking. This makes the shields a useful supporting component when preparing the listed Porsche brake systems for demanding use. GiroDisc cuts the shields to the required profile and supplies four pieces for one axle.

Key Features

Titanium barrier between the rear pad backing plates and caliper pistons.

Application-specific profile, water jet cut by GiroDisc.

Four shields supplied for one axle.

Rear fitment only on the Porsche applications shown.

Exact GiroDisc part number: TS-0738-4.

Vehicle Fitment and Brake Setup

Vehicle

Axle

Model years

Required brake setup

Porsche 911 Carrera/C4 (996/997.1)

Rear

Front/rear 340/325mm with spacers & hardware

Porsche Boxster S (986)

Rear

Front/rear 340/325mm with spacers & hardware

Porsche Cayman (987.2)

Rear

Base, Front/rear 340/325mm with spacers & hardware

Porsche Cayman S/R (987)

Rear

Front/rear 340/325mm with spacers & hardware

Porsche Cayman/Boxster (981)

Rear

Base, Front/rear 340/325mm with spacers & hardware

Porsche Cayman/Boxster S/GTS (981)

Rear

Front/rear 350/325mm with spacers & hardware

Porsche 718 Cayman/Boxster (982)

Rear

Base, Front/rear 350/325mm with spacers & hardware

Porsche 718 Cayman/Boxster S/GTS (982)

Rear

Front/rear 350/325mm with spacers & hardware

Follow each listed brake setup, including the enlarged-disc and spacer requirements where shown.
